Once upon a time in a theater far, far away there was a musical, a very special musical, one many people hold dear to their hearts. The story goes: there was a beautiful girl named Belle and a horrible beast who once was a handsome but selfish prince. By now you know! The Beauty and the Beast!
This musical is alive and well once again at La Comedia Dinner Theater. The silverware is dancing, the cups are singing, and the flatware is entertaining. Again and again you’ll find yourself humming along to all the tunes that you knew as a child like “A Tale as Old as Time” and “Be Our Guest.” The cast and crew put on a wonderful show, and it is very true to the story that you remember from the Disney movie.
The musical runs through August 28th with a remarkable cast who brings each and every character to life with vigor. It’s so amazing to watch all the beloved characters from the Disney movie come to life and to have an actor play each character so flawlessly. Truth be told, one can never get enough of “Beauty.” Everything about the play makes you forget where you are and who you are. Beauty and the Beast, as a live musical, brings back all sorts of childhood memories. If you have a child who has always wanted to see a princess, bring her to Beauty and the Beast so she can see Sarah Shahinian play Belle to the characters fullest. Maybe you know a boy who has always wanted to meet the Beast; well, bring him to La Comedia so he can meet Shane Tanner in the cast line. Maybe, just maybe, you want to reminiscence over some of your earlier years; why not stop by and see “The Beauty and the Beast” sometime soon.
