Veggie Tales Big Idea Inc.

   Release date: March 3 2007

   Review by Chrysanthi Lee Wilson

Veggie Tales has always taken a fresh and kid friendly view on Bible stories. They are always classy, quotable, exciting, and quite easy to understand. Children and the child-like at heart have always watched Veggie Tales not only for the humor but also for a creative ways of telling a well known Bible story. Big Idea is recognized as the leader in producing DVDs that reflect the Judeo-Christian family values.

Moe and The Big Exit is the story of Moses as told with a Veggie Tales twist and meets the standard set by previous movies. Set in a typical cowboy town filled with tumbleweeds and buffalo called Dodgeball City, Moe is given a mission from God who appears in the form of a burning tumbleweed. Also with Moe is his brother Aaron. The pair set out on the hardest mission of their lives - to free God’s people from the heartless Governor and to release them from their burden of digging the Grand Canyon. Moe and Aaron learn valuable lessons about trusting not in their own muscle but trusting in the plans and the strength of God as well as following directions.

With a new silly song from everyone’s favorite boy band “Boyz in the Sink” and fun special features, this new Veggie Tales is bound to be hit.

As always, Veggie Tales is not just all fun and games. Like the many that have come before, Moe and The Big Exit comes complete with a biblical life lesson easy enough for children understand but relevant enough even for an adult to put into practice.

Del Monte, Chick-Fil-A and Chuck E. Cheese support this DVD launch and selected Christian retailers will include a cowboy and a mask when Moe and the Big Exit is pre-ordered. When customers buy three cans of Del Monte vegetables they will receive a five-dollar rebate by mail toward their copy of the DVD. Chick-Fil-A is going to host a “Family Fun Nights” at 500 locations. “Family Fun Nights” will include coloring sheets, games, and activity posters with two-dollar saving coupons. Chuck E. Cheese is going to start playing the new silly song in their video loop.

Moe and the Big Exit is on the way to becoming a classic and all the Veggie Tales have earned their place as one of the the most beloved DVD series. Big Idea Inc. is a shining example of Christians taking light into a dark world and sharing the Bible with the younger generations without being pushy or overburdening. Moe and the Big Exit is soon to become an unforgettable movie and family favorite.
